Hello. Welcome. Welcome. My name is Martita Robinson, and this is the Mystical Investigator.  Thank you for joining me today, as we talk about different ways to flow.   How to allow your spiritual essence to be all that it is without blocking it with, our own little pushback.  Our negative thinking.  Feeling uncomfortable and not allowing it to be there. And lack of acceptance.

Today, we're going to talk about different ways that you can flow.  How you can move into a. More aligned life, where you're just allowing your emotions to be so that you can heal your anxiety.  So that you can be happy and you can live your best life.

Now when I began.  Learning about my emotions and learning how to flow. I  already had one of the biggest tools that I recommend.  And practicing in order to stay in the flow.  And that was meditation.  Meditation was something that I started when I was in my undergrad.   Had found a cassette.

At a garage sale, I guess we're talking vintage stuff here.

I was at the garage sale with my friends. I had been just hanging out with her. We were just chilling and. It was the psychic. I don't know if you've ever heard of Sylvia brown, but she passed away a while ago. She was this psychic and.  Even at the time, I didn't really know her.

I hadn't really read her books.

I hadn't. Done any research on her, but I have seen this. Tape where she talked about how. You could feel your spirit. That stuck out to me because. I grew up with the Bible and the Bible talks about your spirit quite a bit.

I no longer have any type of religion. I'm more of a spiritual. Woman.  More of a mystic. I like to be involved in lots of different things to make me feel connected to the Source in God.  But at the time, it just stuck out to me. So I listened to it and she basically. Taught me how to relax. That's what the tape was on.

And I listened to it every day. I practice it every day was my first meditation.  And it taught me that I didn't have to sit in my emotions. I could relax out of them.

And this is what flow is. This is all flow is flow is allowing you to be you.  Without pushing back. So even when we have emotions and I talk about this in the first episode of How to heal your anxiety, if you haven't listened to that, go back to that. Listen to the foundation.  And.

Even when we have emotions, we're still aligned.

Emotions are a natural part of who you are.  It's a natural part. That does not disconnect you from a source that does not disconnect you from who you are.  You're still a source. As you feel emotions, what disconnects you from the source?  Is when you stop the flow of your emotions.  Because living a human life.  Energetically you are energy.

You are spirit in this physical form. Living a human life requires being able to feel experiences. that's the whole point of being human.  You know, in a spiritual sense, we're just spirits. We're not going to feel anything.

It's just knowing and being, and, you know, just energy. So being physical, you get to feel life.  And experienced life at a very experiential level, including all of your senses.  So when you feel emotions, there's nothing wrong with having emotions. Emotions are the most natural part of you.  What is wrong and what is skewed is if you push back against them and do not allow them to be.

And as I talked about in that last episode, the flow is a three-part process.  The flow. When it comes to your emotion, so flow and the flow, I like to call the three-part emotional process, the flow theory, right? It's all about allowing yourself to feel the experience, to accept the experience, and then to let it go, because there's no point. Or use it and you holding onto it.

The most we can do is learn from experiences.

But.   Pushing back against it keeps it. In our experience at the moment. And every time you push back against it, you just bring up that past experience and you let it be in your present. There's no good to that.  There's no good too Fighting. The feeling. Fighting the reason. Fighting. Forgiveness. There's no point to any of that. So meditation teaches you how to relax out of the fight.

You go away from the world. You sit.

You can either sit with a guided meditation. Or you Sit still with the disquiet. There are so many different meditations.   Well, you just observe.

You can chant.

Oh, two.   And I'll get deeper into all these different ways and future episodes, but meditation is nothing more than allowing yourself to flow and teaching yourself what your body feels like in a relaxed state.  Because when you pull yourself away from the world, you allow the emotions to come up.  Then you're focused on presence.

You're focused on flow.  You're not. In the mix of the world.  Bumping up against. All that life is giving you at the moment, whether it be work or the kids.  Spending time with your partner.

Even being in the experience of.

Whatever. Has brought about the emotion in the first place.

You want to be able to sit.

And observe just simply observe without being in the middle of the world. And you do this daily.  And when I started this, I started with 15 to 20 minutes.

And that was how I gained mastery over myself, over my blocks, over pushing against life.  Because I actually sat through the cycle of it now.  You can start off at five minutes. I like to call that a reset. It's like you sit for five minutes and you're resetting. Whatever's happening, if you're going to meditate, I say 15 to 20 minutes a day is going to teach you about yourself.

It's going to teach you what it feels like to feel.  It's going to teach you what it feels like to flow.  your only goal during that meditation should be to relax. In the beginning, a beginner's meditation should be taught. You how to relax.  Okay.  Relaxing is something that you can learn and use in daily living.  Because then once you learn how to relax, you, you, you learn how to meditate.

Then you can Process your emotions within the moment.  You allow that flow to happen every time you're feeling something.

And of course, this takes daily practice. You have to practice every day, but this is the tool. God has given you what the universe has given you, this is the biggest.  A tool that you could ever have. And when I'm teaching my clients.  It's like every client I have, this is, this is the basis. This is the foundation. for Whatever. Healing techniques.  Or whatever issue that they have.

So I'm a spiritual therapist. I. Help my clients overcome hard emotions heal traumas and heal the past.

And meditation is. The foundation for all of it.

So, not only does meditation teach you how to flow, but it also teaches you how to be present. It teaches you how to be still.  In your life stop moving. So many of us are constantly on the go you know, as parents.  As moms.  We're out here constantly serving our children. And helping our children and supporting our little adults.

Right. We're raising adults in these little.  Beautiful angels in our lives.  And we're always on the go. There's never a moment of sitting back, most of the time it's just service.  And when we're in the middle of that, we tend to lose ourselves. We tend to lose the feeling of.  Alignment to us, right.

To self, to sacred self. To spirit.

And it can feel chaotic if it can make life feel chaotic like it's just, we're on this. Fast. Roller coaster or not even a rollercoaster, like, what was called the devil's hole.

You know that spinny thing you go inside and it's a ride at.  And you lay against the wall and it spins fast and you're like stuck, you know?

Or rollercoaster where the, one of the wooden roller coasters where you're going up and down and it's like Jostling you.

You don't feel very good in life when you're not connected and aligned, you feel.  You feel chaotic, you feel crazy.

You have to be able to Be present to enjoy life, to fully enjoy life.  Presence is key and meditation teaches you how to be present. It teaches you how to align with yourself and become one with yourself, to not just be in the body and the mind, but to sit in the spirit because in the spirit is this beautiful. Wonderful.  Still state.   It's the spa.

Like, you know, when you go to a spa.  And the lights are dim and the sense and the aromas are just so calming and soothing.   The whole vibe is just.  Calm and still, and you just feel so calm when you're out in nature.  And you're under a tree and it's just you, or it's even if it is you and the kids, like you're just sitting in nature and you have a minute while they're playing to just take it all in and soak it all in.  Right.

Or maybe when you're.  Watching your children enjoy themselves. There's this still moment there when you're doing something that you really enjoy. There's this very present, still moment.  And that that presence is always there. And you have the capability of experiencing life. All the time like that.  And this glorious bliss of enjoyment, because every moment that you're in feels so good.

Even the chaos of your children. You know,

Playing very loudly.  Running around making noises.  Right.  That's that stillness within you because that's God's force within you and God always loves.  He loves every moment. It loves, she loves whatever you want to call it. It loves every moment.

And because that is N you you're feeling that.  That's you that you're feeling it, you're feeling the bliss. You're feeling the love and appreciation for the world in your presence, but that requires getting out of your mind.  And that requires getting out of your body and settling into that energetic level of you.  Which you only learn with meditation.

Meditation is how you learn, how to do that. You learn to relax, you learn to let go. Then you can be present in your day-to-day. Then you can move away from the chaos and into aligning with yourself, really feeling still.  Really moving out of the body, really moving out of the mind.  And you still yourself, you stop going from, go, go, go, go, go to, let me take my time.

Let me be here with my kids while they're eating.  Let me enjoy them.   Let me be here in this conversation that my baby is trying to have with me.

Great, regardless of the age of the baby, right? It could be a. Talkative 14-year-old or a.

Talkative. Four-year-old.

Gab. I have these ducks. I live near a park, so I have these ducks that fly over and they're allowed, they just pass by. You may have, may have been caught on the audio, but.   That feeling of like, wow, how beautiful is this morning? Hearing those docs.

It lights me up.

The simplest things will light you up when you are connected to soul.  And sacred self.   Again,  meditation is required. You need to be able to learn what that feels like to settle into yourself, to be able to be aligned. With you.

And that requires relaxing. So your first meditation should be a relaxation, meditation. Find something. That's going to teach you how to relax.

For me, it was that first audio.  I listened to that taught me to relax.   And then from there, I practiced on my own.  Through many different meditations. I learned what works for relaxation and now I teach it to my clients. I use the same meditation.  With my clients.

They all learn the same way.

And it's the best way to learn. You. Start from your toes. You move up to your head, and you relax. Your body.  Then you move into relaxing the mind and observing and watching. Your breath and listening to the sounds in the room and it's, and it's a process that really teaches you all the facets of your being and how to let go.

So I know you're not my client per se, but I do offer meditation.  It is called a radical relaxation kit. It's a kit. It has meditation. It also has a five-minute reset. I kind of touched on that earlier where you, you can do five minutes of meditation, but I wouldn't.  Put your all into that, like five minutes, meditation is just a reset.

It's like you're feeling really hard emotions. You sit for five minutes to relax. And then that hard emotional pass.

But meditation is about learning what it feels like to be present and sitting. So it should be 15 to 20 minutes.  So I have this kit it's available at my Stan store. I'll leave the link in the show notes,

it's inexpensive. It's a great meditation practice every single day. It also has instructions on meditating and like all my best tips. That I know of to really make meditation a daily practice for you. So check it out.  Alright. I love you.  If you have any questions you can go ahead and email me martita@martitarobinson.com.
